Last Woodworks Class For The Year

For the last Day of Tech I had a little bit to do. I just had to put the front of the helicopter on and add the perpilors to it which was easy but long because it took half the leason for him to get to me which was very annoying but I did get it done at the end of the lesson which was good. To be honest I think my helicopter turned out good in the end. I think I did a good job on making it.

New Zealand Largest Waterslide opens

At a water park there has been a new slide release. The slide has been name Conical Thrill and is 13.5 metres high.

One of the interesting features of the slide is that it includes a twisting hydroslide before a steep drop that propels people up a vertical wall for a moment of weightlessness. The new slide was open on Friday morning. New thermal pods connected by waterfalls were open as well.

I for one wish to go to the water slide because it looks really big. I am also curious on the weightlessness bit. I also want to try out the vertical floor thing when it opens and you fall through it. If I were to rate the slide I would rate it 10 out of 10 from how cool it looks.a

I then went off on my own to go Go Karting. It was fun because two of the people that were Go Karting got stuck when they were going to park there Go Karts. When it was my turn to go on the Go Karts I came first place because all the other people stopped.

On the 11th of July my family and I went to Invercargill. When we arrived at Ivercargill the first place we went to was Kings, my mum's favourite place to get fish. After we got something to eat we went to our hotel.

A couple of days later we went to Queens Park for lunch. The food there was really nice, especially the fish they had. A few days past and it was now time to leave Invercargill and come back to Auckland. I really liked Invercargill because it was really quite and nice.

Flu Vaccine Shortage In New Zealand

Around all of New Zealand there as been a shortage of Flu Vaccine. A week into flu season only 1.3 million  people around New Zealand have taken their flu shots. That is almost the same flu shots that were taken last year.

I think having a flu vaccine shortage is bad because if the vaccine runs out that means the people that didn't get their shots wont be as immune to sickness and then they will get sick and if they are in public they might get people around them sick and that is not good.

Teacher Strike 2019

Around 50,000 teachers in New Zealand went on strike and didn't show up for school so that means around 750,000 students were not taught according to a Kiwi Kids news article. I for one really like that the teachers went on strike because that means no school but it wasn't good for the teachers because some teachers that go on strike meant they get less money even though they are going on strike for the money.

The government and the teachers are currently in  negotiations to decide how much the teachers get paid for the next three years.
