How we made it was, we put the noodles into the pot and filled it with water. We then boiled it until soft. After that we had to get the chicken and shred the chicken up. We also had to cut the carrots into finger size and slice the cucumbers thinly.

Last Woodworks Class For The Year

For the last Day of Tech I had a little bit to do. I just had to put the front of the helicopter on and add the perpilors to it which was easy but long because it took half the leason for him to get to me which was very annoying but I did get it done at the end of the lesson which was good. To be honest I think my helicopter turned out good in the end. I think I did a good job on making it.

New Zealand Largest Waterslide opens

At a water park there has been a new slide release. The slide has been name Conical Thrill and is 13.5 metres high.

One of the interesting features of the slide is that it includes a twisting hydroslide before a steep drop that propels people up a vertical wall for a moment of weightlessness. The new slide was open on Friday morning. New thermal pods connected by waterfalls were open as well.

I for one wish to go to the water slide because it looks really big. I am also curious on the weightlessness bit. I also want to try out the vertical floor thing when it opens and you fall through it. If I were to rate the slide I would rate it 10 out of 10 from how cool it looks.a

Kiwi FireFighter To use Vr Headsets to Train

Firefighters will begin to use Vr headsets to do some training and prepare them for complex missions and unsafe scenarios.

The FLAIM system that was made in Australia, creates real life scenarios in the vr headset and it
includes protective clothing that generates realistic heat.

That means that the firefighters can go in the buildings that have a lot of fire while they are safe in the real world.

Wood Works

Today at tech I was sand papering my joint so the wood could fit in it. It took a while for it to be able to fit. After a couple of minutes I went to  Mr Grundy to show my work but he just ignored me:(

Trip To Rainbows End!

On the 31st of August I went to Rainbows End. We went to Rainbows End for Riiana's birthday.

When we first got there we went on the stratosfear. On the stratosfear once we let go we were going upside down. The second time we were going upside down I shouted to t-pose to them which was awkward because we could barely stretch our arms.

I then went off on my own to go Go Karting. It was fun because two of the people that were Go Karting got stuck when they were going to park there Go Karts. When it was my turn to go on the Go Karts I came first place because all the other people stopped.

In early September, people will need to be 16 or older to buy energy drinks.

Countdown said they are restricting energy drinks due to high levels or sugar and caffeine in these drinks. Energy drinks are not recommended for young people and already carried warnings on packaging.

The new move has had widespread support from health professionals throughout New Zealand. Many suggesting the government should bring in tighter rules, but the New Zealand Beverage Council, a group representing drink manufacturers, said it was disappointed at Countdown’s decision.

Teacher Strike 2019

Around 50,000 teachers in New Zealand went on strike and didn't show up for school so that means around 750,000 students were not taught according to a Kiwi Kids news article. I for one really like that the teachers went on strike because that means no school but it wasn't good for the teachers because some teachers that go on strike meant they get less money even though they are going on strike for the money.

The government and the teachers are currently in  negotiations to decide how much the teachers get paid for the next three years.

Duffy show

On the 19th of February the whole school went to the Multipurpose room to watch the Duffy Show.
The show was called Stuck In The Game. The performers first told us some rules for what we needed to do.

The protagonist, Duffy went to Sam's house because Duffy's parents were on holiday. When Duffy got to her house, Sam was just playing on her console.  Duffy was trying to get her attention but she didn't notice him so Duffy did a dance that  made him get stuck in the game.

He had 20 minutes to get out or he would turn into pixels .
